Old Shop

Sometimes a man needs some space

An old shop to hide in

Four walls of weathered wood

Where the outside world stays quiet

Maybe do nothing but think

Let the hours slip by

Chase down the next big dream

Old shop, like an old friend

Been there through the thick and thin

Talk to yourself or sing out loud

Let the music pull you in

Remember the good days

Remember old friends

Remember life's twists and bends

Warm space in the winter,

Heater glowin' soft and low

Cool place in the summer shade

Fan turnin' nice and slow

Radio hummin' favorite songs

Dog asleep across your feet

Just you and him hangin' out

In the place where life feels sweet

Old shop, like an old friend

Been there through the thick and thin

Talk to yourself or sing out loud

Let the music pull you in

Remember the good days

Remember old friends

Remember life's twists and bends

No judgments, no rush, no need to explain

Just the smell of old wood and time gone by

A quiet spot to mend your soul

Where even broken dreams can fly

Old shop, my old friend

Thanks for holdin' every part of me

Talk to myself or sing out loud

This is where I'm truly free

Remember the good days

Remember old friends

Remember who I was

Who I am In the old shop… I begin again

Yeah… the old shop

My hideaway

My old friend
